Veterans Caucus Reviews:
"I love seeing that the caucus is conducting a listening tour - what a great idea! I would be honored to welcome and host the caucus in Monterey County if you are able to add dates to the tour. We are home to active military bases and a large population of armed services veterans. The redevelopment of fort ord remains at the forefront of local policy nearly two decades after its closure, and our county has sponsored an effort to develop a Veterans Home here. We have a very active central committee, as well as a very engaged military and veterans affairs office, and some very incredible non profits who are helping us eliminate veteran homelessness. As the elected county supervisor representing the former fort ord and majority of of veteran residents, I would welcome to opportunity to convene a gathering - virtual or in person - to share more about our success and ongoing needs for policy leadership." - Wendy Root Askew, Monterey County Supervisor, District 4
